General information about the WorldSuperbike Weekend Prix schedule

A typical World Superbike (WorldSBK) race weekend spans three days, featuring a structured schedule of practice sessions, qualifying, and races across multiple categories. Here's an overview of the standard format:

Friday

Free Practice Sessions: The day begins with Free Practice sessions for all categories, including WorldSBK, World Supersport (WorldSSP) and World Supersport 300 (WorldSSP300). These sessions allow riders to familiarise themselves with the track and fine-tune their motorcycles.

Saturday

Free Practice 3: A final practice session for each category to make last-minute adjustments.
Superpole: A qualifying session that determines the starting grid for Race 1 and the Superpole Race. Riders must record a lap time within 107% of the pole position time to qualify.
Race 1: The first main race of the weekend for each category.

Sunday

Warm-Up Sessions: Brief sessions for riders to prepare their bikes and assess track conditions.
Superpole Race: A shorter sprint race for WorldSBK, typically around 10 laps. The top nine finishers set their grid positions for Race 2; positions from 10th onwards are based on Saturday's Superpole results.
Race 2: The second main race for each category, concluding the weekend's competitive events.

Please note that schedules can vary depending on the event and any special circumstances. For instance, the introduction of the World Women's Circuit Racing (WorldWCR) Championship in 2024 added additional sessions to the weekend itinerary.
